Board Members

Marine Babayan has joined the Corporate Affairs Team as Group Director, Corporate Affairs in November 1, 2022.

Marine has led the creation of the Global Government Relations function at the Group level, developing strategy and providing execution in service of the Group’s strategic objectives, including the important work of defending VEON’s license to operate across all markets, navigating through the challenging regulatory environment and elevating the level of engagement with VEON’s external stakeholders.

 

Ms. Babayan previously served as VEON’s Director of Investor Relations and Director for Governance and Transformation, managing key relationships for VEON with analysts, investors, and retail shareholders. Ms. Babayan’s work has contributed to adding value to VEON’s operations at the local and international level, building meaningful business networks and partnerships that have enhanced VEON’s business operations. Ms. Babayan has longstanding experience working in emerging markets and fostering relations with governments and local authorities for the benefit of local communities.
