OTH Announces Election of New Chairman

Cairo, January 12th, 2012: Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (“Company”) announced today that the Board of Directors has elected Mr. Jo Lunder to the position of Chairman replacing Mr. Khaled Bichara, who stepped down from his position as Executive Chairman and Board of Directors Member at the end of December 2011. The appointment will be submitted in the next General Assembly for ratification. In his new capacity as Chairman of Orascom Telecom Holding, Mr. Lunder will focus on executing a strategy to increase cash flows through driving profitable growth, operational excellence and capital efficiency.
