Global Telecom Holding, or GTH, is a leading international telecommunications company operating mobile networks in Africa and Asia. GTH operates mobile networks in Algeria (Djezzy), Pakistan (Jazz), Bangladesh (Banglalink), holding a leading market share in all three markets, with its total number of customers exceeding 100 million in 2018.
Global Telecom Holding is majority-owned by the VEON Group, one of the world's largest mobile telecommunications provider by number of customers.



GTH's operation in Bangladesh, Banglalink, is one of the fastest growing operators with a strong focus on increasing value share. In September 2004, GTH purchased 100% of Sheba Telecom (Pvt.) Limited in Bangladesh. GTH re-branded and launched its services as "Banglalink" in February 2005. Immediately after the launch, GTH started its aggressive plans to develop Banglalink into a leader in the mobile sector by rapidly expanding its mobile network to provide high quality communications services at affordable prices. Banglalink serves 32.3 million customers with approximately 20% market share (as of September 30, 2018).


GTH witnessed success as "Djezzy" was launched in February 2002. Djezzy, is the digital operator leader in a very attractive growth market, with a strong local partner. Djezzy serves 15.6 million customers on its network and has approximitely 30% market share (as of September 30, 2018).("Djezzy") was granted a license in July 2001 to provide GSM telecommunications services in Algeria. Djezzy operates a mobile network and provides a range of prepaid and postpaid voice, data and multimedia telecommunications services.


GTH's operation in Pakistan, Pakistan Mobile Communications Ltd ("Mobilink") started its operations in Pakistan in 1994. In April 2001, GTH took over management control of the company. Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (Mobilink or PMCL) operates the leading mobile network in Pakistan and provides a range of prepaid and postpaid voice and data telecommunication services to both individual and corporate customers. Mobilink's network is the most extensive in Pakistan, and Mobilink also enjoys the most widespread retail channel in the country. Mobilink merged with Warid on 1 July 2016. Mobilink and Warid rebranded as "Jazz" in January 2017. Jazz leads in customer market share and serves approximately 56.1 million customers and has approximately 37% market share post the merger with "Warid" (as of September 30, 2018).
